Supply Chain Management (SCM) plays a very important role in the pharmaceutical industry, especially in Indonesia, where more than 90 percent of raw materials for pharmaceutical industry are actually imported. It is known that Indonesia's pharmaceutical industry is very expensive. Government of Indonesia (GOI) is hardly managed the pharmaceutical industry due to its complexity. Too many players put its stakes in this industry. The growing industry clusters are also coloring the competition amongst existing players. This article is a literature review and enriched with secondary data to continue the work of Mustamu (2000). Meant to describe Indonesia's pharmaceutical industry from the perspective of supply chain management. The 120 days throughput time within the industry and the high margins make this industry very attractive for illegal pharmaceutical producers. To make it worse, the illegal pharmaceutical producers that copying products of legal pharmaceutical companies are also developing its distribution channels in the market. At the end, the unaware end-users are becoming victims of the game. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Manajemen Rantai Pasokan (MRP) memainkan peran penting dalam industri farmasi, terutama di Indonesia di mana lebih dari 90 prosen bahan baku industri farmasi adalah bahan impor. Di dunia, industri farmasi Indonesia dikenal sangat mahal. Pemerintah Republik Indonesia (RI) sulit mengendalikan industri farmasi akibat kompleksitas yang dimilikinya. Terlalu banyak pemain yang memiliki kepentingan dalam industri ini. Kelompok industri pendukung yang sedang tumbuh juga mewarnai persaingan antar pemain yang ada. Artikel ini bersifat kajian pustaka dan diperkaya dengan data sekunder sebagai kelanjutan karya Mustamu (2000). Dimaksudkan untuk menggambarkan industri farmasi Indonesia dari perspektif MRP. 120 hari waktu perlaluan (throughput time) dalam industri ini serta tingginya prosentase keuntungan, menjadikan industri ini sangat atraktif bagi para produsen farmasi ilegal. Lebih buruk lagi, produsen farmasi ilegal yang meniru produk perusahaan farmasi legal ternyata juga membangun jaringan distribusi sendiri di dalam pasar. Pada gilirannya, pengguna akhir yang tidak menyadari hal tersebut menjadi korban dari permainan ini. Kata kunci: manajemen rantai pasokan, farmasi, Indonesia.Downloads
