This study examines factors influencing migrant and local entrepreneurial business networks with particular reference to Provincial development in Indonesia. Factors of influence include market accessibility, capital accessibility, business focus or business specialisation in manufacturing, trades and services as well as economic conditions, degree of tolerance towards migrant and local entrepreneurs, support networks, business experience, educational background, and entrepreneurial personal characteristics and initiatives. The findings have significance for local development by entrepreneurs in this special case where migrant and local entrepreneurs link in networks and in many cases, joint ventures. The outcomes have significance for government in development programs, academic institutions designing training, and for local business organisation.Downloads
